چکیده

In this paper, we discuss the performance of Blind Equalization algorithms, which can deal with the cases that the input signals are correlated and decrease the filtering error. We describe the algorithm process and analysis the error performance and computational complexity and an example of adaptive blind equalization is given to verify these algorithms. Results and conclusions are made which may be benefit to the researchers and engineers in the adaptive filtering field. KeywordsAdaptive Filter; Blind Adaptive Filter; Adaptive Equalizer.

Adaptive blind equalizers with automatically controlled parameters

Signals when pass through a channel undergo various forms of distortion, most common of which is Inter-symbol-interference, so called ISI. Inter-symbol interference induced errors can cause the receiver to misinterpret the received samples. Equalizers are important parts of receivers, which minimizes the linear distortion produced by the channel. If channel characteristics are known a priori, t...

A feedback approach to the steady-state performance of fractionally spaced blind adaptive equalizers

This paper proposes a new approach to the analysis of the steady-state performance of constant modulus algorithms (CMA), which are among the most popular adaptive schemes for blind equalization. A major feature of the proposed feedback approach is that it bypasses the need for working directly with the weight error covariance matrix. In so doing, approximate expressions for the steady-state mea...

Steady-state performance of multimodulus blind equalizers

Multimodulus algorithms (MMA) based adaptive blind equalizers mitigate inter-symbol interference in a digital communication system by minimizing dispersion in the quadrature components of the equalized sequence in a decoupled manner, i.e., the in-phase and quadrature components of the equalized sequence are used to minimize dispersion in the respective components of the received signal. These u...

On the Practical Aspects of Joint Passive Phase Conjugation and Equalization Underwater Communication Systems

Underwater acoustic communication systems suffer from the channel impairments which results in time spreading of the transmitted signal. In underwater environment, multiple replicas of the transmitted signal are received at the receiver through different paths, which causes significant Inter-Symbol Interference (ISI). Decision Feedback Equalizers (DFE) was utilized to overcome this type of inte...

Mathematical Analysis of Optimal Tracking Interval Management for Power Efficient Target Tracking Wireless Sensor Networks

In this paper, we study the problem of power efficient tracking interval management for distributed target tracking wireless sensor networks (WSNs). We first analyze the performance of a distributed target tracking network with one moving object, using a quantitative mathematical analysis. We show that previously proposed algorithms are efficient only for constant average velocity objects howev...
